After his death from bowel cancer in 1993, the Bobby Moore Fund was founded. Its aims are to raise money for vital research into the prevention, screening and treatment of bowel cancer. Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby's widow, asked Cancer Research UK to establish the Fund as a fitting tribute in his memory. Stephanie works tirelessly for the Fund. She raises not only money, but also awareness of bowel cancer and its symptoms, so that other lives are not lost to the disease.
Since 1993 the Fund has raised over £2 million for bowel cancer research. SportingStrokes will make a donation of £5 to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK for each Pele and Bobby Moore print sold.
